East Windsor Education Association





President: Ellen Ogintz – Ellen is an elementary special education teacher, who is currently in her 37rd year of teaching. She has been an Association Representative, Membnew EO headshotership Chairperson, Negotiations Team member,and Vice President for EWEA. She has been their President for the last nine years. Ellen is also the Corresponding Secretary for the Mercer County Education Association, and represents the County at the NJEA Delegate Assembly . Ellen is proud to represent the over 470 members of the East Windsor Education Association and believes communication is the key…emails, Facebook, and the webpage. She is confident that the more members know about the Association the more they will want to get involved.



1st Vice President: Chris has been a teacher at the Melvin H. Kreps School for fifteen years.  He has served on the Negotiations Committee and has also been an Association Rep. Chris is currently the Mercer County EA Recording Secretary and the Chairman of the NJEA Elections Committee.




2nd Vice President: Casandra Fox – Casey teaches High School English and is currently in her 12th year of teaching. She has been an EWEA Workshop Chair, Teacher for a Day co-chair, and an Association Representative.  Casey loves being a part of something so much bigger than any one member- a team of dynamic leaders and teachers who listen to the concerns of their members and do what needs to be done to address them is what EWEA is to Casey.



Treasurer: Kathleen Carvalho – Kathleen has been teaching in the East Windsor Regional School District for the past sixteen years.  She has worked in both Special and Regular Education and is currently a 3rd grade teacher.  Kathleen has been an Association Representative, PRIDE Chairperson, Newsletter Editor, Treasurer, and Negotiations Team Chairperson.   Kathleen believes that education is power and the more you know about your Association, the more you can help members serve students.



Secretary: Frances Lavelle- Frances teaches 8th grade social studies and has just completed her ninth year of teaching. Although she came late to teaching, she has always recognized the importance of a strong union. She is delighted to work alongside the EWEA team to best serve all our members!




Webmistress & LAT Chair: Ana Martinez– Ana is an ELL teacher at the Walter C. Black school who wanted to help her Association and became our Communications Chair!
